A position is now open for a part time on-site computer support technician Certification: CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ Experience: To qualify you must love working on computers and have a comprehensive technical understanding of them. However, more job experience will equal a higher pay rate. Description: You will be required to be on call Monday thru Saturday and probably work 12 to 36 hours a month, possibly more. Most calls will be to homes and small businesses, and can last anywhere from 1-3 hours. As we continue to expand, this position will eventually lead to full time. Duties:
  • Remove virus and spyware infections.
  • Deliver, set up, and configure; desktops, workstations, notebooks and printers.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Repair and upgrade systems as well as tuning them up.
  • Configure email, internet, and file/printer sharing.
  • Configure wireless routers and network switches.
  • Recover crashed systems and customer data.
  • Install and configure automatic backup solutions.
  • Always be polite and handle difficult customers with courtesy.
  • Have the customer complete and sign a service authorization form before starting any work.
  • Give customers our business card, and put a contact sticker on their computer.
  • Sell additional company services and products.
  • Install, configure and demonstrate software, hardware and peripherals.
  • Create and email an invoice to the customer and collect payment.
  • Visit the customer again if required, to fix any outstanding issues.
